  • Payment Terms: Payment is due as outlined in the quote provided. Customers are required to pay in full prior to, on, or after the completion of the move, depending on the terms discussed.

  • Methods of Payment: Payments may be made via credit card, debit card, bank transfer, or other methods specified in the agreement.

  • Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellations made within a specified period, typically 48 hours before the scheduled move, may be eligible for a refund of the deposit, less any applicable fees. Cancellations after this time may result in a partial or full forfeiture of the deposit, depending on the situation. Specific cancellation policies will be discussed at the time of booking.


4. Customer Responsibilities

  • Accurate Information: Customers must provide accurate and complete details about the items to be moved, the destination address, access conditions, and any special requirements. This ensures that Kathleen Movers can provide the best possible service.

  • Preparation for Moving Day: Customers are responsible for ensuring that all items are ready to be packed and moved on the scheduled day. This includes disconnecting appliances, emptying contents of cabinets and drawers, and ensuring there is adequate parking for our moving trucks.

  • Restricted Items: Certain items may not be transported due to safety or legal reasons, including hazardous materials, flammable liquids, explosives, and perishable goods. Please inform us ahead of time if any items fall under restricted categories.


5. Damage, Loss, and Liability

  • Liability for Damaged Goods: While we take every precaution to ensure the safety of your belongings, Kathleen Movers is not liable for damages or loss resulting from natural disasters, fire, theft, or accidents beyond our control. We offer different levels of insurance and protection for your belongings, and we strongly recommend that you select appropriate coverage to protect your items during transit.

  • Insurance Coverage: Kathleen Movers provides limited liability coverage for damages that occur during the move. Additional full-value protection plans are available for purchase and may cover damages beyond the basic coverage. Please inquire about these options during the booking process.

  • Claims for Damages: In the event that damage occurs during the move, customers must report the damage immediately upon delivery. Claims must be submitted in writing within the timeframe specified in your moving contract.


6. Moving Day Conditions

  • Access to Property: Customers must ensure that access to the property is clear and accessible for our moving team. This includes making sure that driveways, parking areas, and pathways are unobstructed.

  • Delays: In cases of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, Kathleen Movers may be delayed. We will notify you as soon as possible, and we will do our best to reschedule or work with you to resolve any timing issues.

  • Storage Fees: Storage fees are billed on a monthly basis. Any delays in payment may result in additional charges or removal of items from storage.
